Every now and then, it's good to sit back and reflect on the great men that came before us. All of these pictures are from the club that my family started a long arse time ago and is still going strong today. Feel free to add your own. Enjoy. The links are to some old homemade videos from the camp. It's excellent shite. The music, of course, was added by the lady who converted them from film reel to DVD.

Man, I wish my family had a land or lease/camp that had been passed down through the generations.
Me, my brother, and Dad are determined to start one though. Just need to find the right place.

It's a huge blessing. I have about 1600 pictures like that, it's just to late to post more than that

I could look at those pictures all day, and I have no idea who any of these people are

They're all my great great great uncles and grandparents and great grandparents and shite like that. Most of them were in the service. Great bunch of tough old bastards.

Me and my brother have talked about it and are determined to find a tract of land to buy somewhere in MS once we're both out of school and on our feet.
And downshift

They're either somewhere at my grandparents' house or under the resin coat on the bar at the boat club

Well in that case, nevermind.
One of the guys that hunts with us had his wife scan all the pictures from the camp and every one she could get her hands on from everybody, and put them on a cd. I also have a bunch of old projector reel home videos from the camp that she put on a DVD. Incredibly cool shite.

Thats back when men were men, and women knew how to knit long-johns.

Looking at old pictures has convinced me to start taking pics of any and all outdoor catches/kills or just cool shite we do, not just the big ones. I have a camera on my phone with me at all times, there's no reason to not have at least a shitty iPhone cam pic of it.

Damn man that's a shame. We have pretty much a continuous picture record since the club started. I think it was started in the 40's. Taking pictures is a pain in the arse, but somebody far down the road might learn something from them
