Opposing teams so far have said LSU can't beat us because.....

The first was Oregon claiming their overall all team speed would leave LSU in the dust.
What else?
What else?

That LSU's offense can't keep up and score enough points to win.

Most of our opponents talked shite after they were blown out.

State said they be grinding

Questionable QB play. I think that's been put to rest. Thanks for playing.

Yep. I, especially, love hearing/reading the comments made by the opposing players of the teams we just played; the ones saying that we're really not as good as they made us look. You'd think arse kicking after arse kicking would make them rethink their comments, but no. Each team continues to make these foolish comments..and I, for one, love it!

WVU did not have enough couches to burn.

WVU said we couldn't handle that environment.

That is the funniest part of this season. If, and do say if, LSU goes through the season undefeated and has a new crystal ball in January, there will be twelve teams, at least, that will say we got lucky when we played them.

I've been reading a lot of opposing teams fan boards this season and it's always the same cycle:
Mon-Tues: Usually the most realistic, "LSU looks pretty good", "We'll be lucky to score", etc.
Wed-Thurs: A little bit of optimism creeps in, "They're good, but...", "That's why we play the game", etc.
Fri-Sat: Full blown homerism has set in, "They're offense is horrible", "Les Miles is good for at two losses a season", "This is the week we show up and play up to our potential", etc
But my favorite day is Sunday. Sunday is the day that reality is trying to set in, but they just can't comprehend that they were beat by a better team. Every team this season has come up w/ different excuses as to why they have lost, and I'm looking forward to hearing the Gumps.

I've heard as recently as today an Oregon caller on a sports show make excuses.

Trent Richardson is far and away the best player on the field. Heard it all day today by one of the experts on espn. Oh he will also get his heisman performance off that game.

If it was the same show I watched, they picked the top ten players combined from both teams. 6 out of 10 were LSU players, but when picking Off, Def, QB, Spec teams. Bama was picked the most. Logic?

This cliche made the back to back TD passes in the Auburn game to RR by both QBs all the better.

quote:Isn't it the case that they usually "beat themselves?" You can't "give" the ball away and expect to beat a team like LSU.
