It will be resolved. They just got the Fox deal hammered out and will now take care of CBS.

if situation not resolved i will be in the market for a tv antenna. my thoughts are the backlash towards both of them would be tremendous and i dont think either is willing to risk that. but to be safe if no agreement is made by thursday night i need to go purchase an antenna

you haven't seen the commercials. both sides are negotiating and have yet to come to an agreement. pretty sure wwl is using the lsu as leverage.

Please enlighten me to the issue.

Are you saying directv in nola area isn't currently showing they will carry the game via wwl?

No I haven't seen these "commercials". But there are many businesses in nola that are hosting special events around the game. Wwl will have to act accordingly or nola business community will drop a big one on them.

This is news to me. Link?

I have a 12' outdoor regular antenna and it picks up HD so unbelievable great. When I first tried it I had doubts because all the talk about needing a HD antenna, this is BS, the regular outdoor antenna picks up HD awesomely.

Used to work at TV station. Trust me, over the air signal yields a far superior picture to dish/cable so you should've been doing this all along.

We use the $10 antenna from walmarks when tailgating, and it works great.

A lot of variables. Trees etc. I think the FCC may have a website where you enter your zip and they recommend an antenna and the direction to point it.

Its probable not WWL directly, but their parent company.

I live about 48 miles from Baton Rouge and I do not have my 12' antenna amplified and Its still picks up beautifully. Also have it hooked up to all the rooms and my iMac.

Just an old cheap 12' antenna pointing straight to Baton Rouge.

That damned thing has been standing for 15 years. It has survived through many storms.

Its a moot point because the agreement was reached, but I built an antenna off this site for $12 for TS Lee. Have it in my attic. I live in Hammond, get all NOLA and BR stations over the air in crystal clear HD. I have Direct TV and have this as a backup just in case. The antenna is very easy to make, took about 30mins.

Directtv would have provided the basic CBS feed out of New York if no agreement was reached
