CBS announcers giving LSU more props.

I don't recall the props calling out our former players to ever be so frequent.

I like it.

He's the longest-tenured Patriot. That's really amazing.

Climbing up the list of longest-tenured Tigers in the NFL/AFL/AAFC too. I haven't updated the list in forever, but I think it looks something like this for the top 15...

1. Y.A. Tittle, 17 (1948-64)
2. Kevin Mawae, 16 (1995-2010)
3. Roy Winston, 15 (1962-76)
4. Brian Kinchen, 14 (1988-2000, 2003)
4. Henry Thomas, 14 (1987-2000)
4. Eugene Daniel Jr., 14 (1984-1997)
7. Kevin Faulk, 13+ (1999-Present)
7. Todd McClure, 13+ (1999-Present)

7. Alan Faneca, 13 (1998-2010)
7. Eddie Kennison, 13 (1996-2008)
7. Dan Alexander, 13 (1977-89)
12. Greg Jackson, 12 (1989-2000)
12. Lance Smith, 12 (1985-96)
12. Leonard Marshall, 12 (1983-94)
12. Johnny Robinson, 12 (1960-71)

Always one of my favorites. There was D line thread a couple of months ago where the young Ranters listed the top D linemen. They were all too young to remember Thomas.

Or Leonard Marshall either, I bet.

I was too young to really remember anything about them as LSU Tigers.

Yeah, I missed him somehow. 10 years with the Colts after the 1962 draft. I must have overlooked him when I was going through the draft stuff from spring 2008 or whenever it was that I made that original list.

per Wiki.

So though he was another great D lineman, Doc's list was about those Tigers with the longest NFL careers.

And thankfully, Miller was before me.

It's nice to see that one of the best teams in the NFL(Patriots) loves them LSU running backs!

thanks, they've been a lot of fun. I licensed the notes back to LSU's shirt vendor, so that's where the tee shirts came from.

I wrote the part that they decided to use on the backs of two of the designs.
