Serious Lack of Balance

Name programs by conference
SEC - Bama, LSU, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee (A&M and Arkansas on precipice)
B1G - Nebraska, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State (Wisconsin not far off)
Pac-12 - Is it just USC? (Colorado, Oregon best of rest?)
Big 12 - Texas & OU
ACC - Miami, FSU (VT, UNC are in that just behind category)
The B12 and P12 really need to merge. And they still would be weaker than the SEC and B1G who are obviously the strongest conferences
I put very little thought into this. Please feel free to chime in with omissions or corrections

Not according the pollsters and computers. The Big 12 is behind the BIG to keyboard heroes only.

Haha. Well there's a few good teams in the B12 this year but I was talking about program history.
Maybe that's a bad representation. I don't see Miami regaining its foothold but could see someone like Ok St remaining a good program even though they have next to no football history (Thurman and Barry but still an all time losing record)

I would add Oregon and Stanford to PAC-12. They are on the national scene to stay in my opinion.

Yeah, it's believed B1G football is on the decline since population growth is in the south and more athletes come from the warmer regions of the country

Oregon, yes. Stanford? Not so much.
Oregon's got a ton of money and exposure due to their Nike connections. As long as Nike continues to be a major player in sports, Oregon will be a major player as well.
I think Stanford's position right now is thanks to the other three programs in the state hitting a downswing at the same time, making them the go-to school for all that Cali talent.
If/when UCLA or USC returns to powerhouse status, Stanford will probably return to the mid-tier of Pac Twelve teams.

This is the dumbest post I have seen on this website...
For you to include Tennessee then you have to include Virginia Tech.
You can also go ahead and add Arkansas...A&M is on the precipice of irrelevance (One top 25 finish in the past 10 years...last top ten finish in 94?)
For you to include Penn State and not Wisconsin ruins your whole argument.
Count Oregon...to even consider Colorado as "best of the rest" without mentioning Stanford is worse than your Wisconsin snub.
I am officially done with this website.

VT has been the face of the ACC for quite some time now.
FSU and Miami have been somewhat irrelevant for a few years. FSU may be on the way back but Miami has some rough water in front of them for a few more years.

I would bet that the average poster on this site is more knowledgeable than 80% of poll voters and 100% of computers.

Tennessee has a BCS championship. VT does not.

Arkansas and A&M's history are almost identical you dumb shite. When was Arkansas' last Top 10 finish?

Again. National championships. You have them recently (last 20 years) or you don't. Colorado does. Arkansas, A&M and Stanford don't. I was listing elite programs. The very good programs were in parenthesis.

Only if Andrew Luck can sign on for ten more years.

Right answer.
The last time Stanford got this much attention was almost 30 years ago (1983 to be exact). They were the talk of college football. You know why?
John Albert Elway, Jr.
Sound familiar?

Add Luck to Tx HS QBs that went out of state

Depending on what you mean by name, I think of it in terms of forward-looking national title relevance. I'd say it's more like the following:
SEC - LSU, Bama, Florida (Auburn, Georgia, and Tennessee on precipice)
B1G - Michigan, Ohio State (Nebraska maybe...someday, I guess)
Pac-12 - It is just USC (Oregon best of rest)
Big 12 - Texas & OU (Ok St, kind of, but not really)
ACC - (FSU, VT in that just behind category)
Every other conference - lol
If you mean just recognizable brand, then shoot go with Notre Dame, too. But we all know their football program is curled up into a ball behind a rest stop toilet somewhere.

Serious Lack of Balance
The BALANCE of the SEC is why no 1- or 2-loss team from any other conference will make the BCSNCG ahead of the SEC team with the same record.
Welcome to our world, BK.

Where many of us would like to see it stay.
