What are the best movies of 2011?

I don't think I've seen one movie in the theater this year, and my Netflix queue is bare. What movies from 2011 are worth a look/deserving of Oscar consideration?

I tried watching this movie recently and it felt like a giant trip. I was watching it and all of sudden there were planets and then a really weird dinosaur scene. I quit watching there because it felt like I was getting high just viewing the movie

nothing really too great this year, imo. Some good movies, but no classics.

This movie is going to suck but it's going to be nominated for every major Academy Award. Book it.

And why will it suck?

Why?

Cause it is directed by Clint Eastwood. All his movies post-Unforgiven are really corny and melodramatic yet they all get several Oscar Nods.

People seemed to like Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby. His movies are melodramatic, but always feature good actors, and are very competently made. I wouldn't say they suck, and it's not like Oscar noms have rolled in for his last three at least.

I can only speak to what I've seen, but:
Tree of Life
Drive
Super 8
Hanna
X-Men: First Class
Are all worth a watch.

Warrior was great.
X-men First Class was worse than X-men 3. Very disappointing.
Lincoln Lawyer was awesome.
Really want to see Horrible Bosses along with many others.

I honestly don't think I've ever heard anyone say that before. Why do you think this?

I haven't seen crap this year.
Moneyball and Super 8 were ok. Was Rango this year? That was hilarious and good to look at too. Cowboys and Aliens was a giant let down. Sucker Punch was by far the most fun I've had in the theatre and don't care what anybody says. The indie theatre had a mandarin action flick like House of Flying Daggers and Crouching Tiger that I missed this week. Pretty mad about that. It had a long name that I can't remember but sounded good.

I disagree too.
First Class was ELVENTY BILLION times better than 3.
I also loved the dark tone it took. Way more realistic than any of the other X-Men movies with people actually being killed.
I knew I would like this movie when Magneto went to town in that bar.
