I seriously doubt it. What is their SOS ranked? If LSU lost to Bama absolutely no way you could make a argument Oregon is ranked ahead of them. I know LSU's SOS is harder plus they beat the shite out of Oregon. I'm pretty sure media would pick Bama over them too. Oregon is killing teams but LSU/Bama are killing teams too...in the SEC. That holds a lot of weight over who goes. The SEC looks worse than it is because everyone has to go through LSU/Bama. We're simply on a different level than everyone else. Bama is too. I don't think anyone can make a argument you can find two better teams in the country and the NC game is about the two best teams playing against each other...

What is the SEC, 6 out of the last 7 championships? That holds a lot of power too in deciding who goes.

Not happening. You still need several undefeated to lose and the only way you get in the NC game ahead of a 1 loss SEC team is if they lose again. If every undefeated lost, they'd pick the loser of the LSU/Bama game over anybody else.

Not if Bama loses by more than 13 at home. Also, Oregon would be 12-1, because they would have played in the conference championship game, Bama would be 11-1. That will play with the computers to some degree.

You are just making a lot of assumptions. Too much can happen between now and then but a one loss SEC team needs a lot of breaks this late in the season to get back into the one or two slot in the BCS

Maybe but the media isn't going to pick you.

well that's not the argument. If LSU loses to bama and is a 1-loss team, Oregon won't move past LSU under any circumstances.

I think Oregon could move past Bama, if Bama were to lose this late in the year.

I still don't see it. The media nuts over SEC teams. It would not surprise me to see this the first year you see two SEC teams in the NC. I suspect somebody is going to go undefeated anyway, so this argument is pointless.

Yea, just like LSU lost their last game of the year and still managed to leap past everyone in final rankings, right? Again, the media favors the SEC and so do the computers.

SEC hasn't won 5 straight NCs because it is a creampuff conference. That is why it also gets favored. That will weigh into the arguments and will ultimately put Oregon behind Bama because this is the shitty system we have. Media is already talking about a LSU vs. Bama NC game. If they want it, they'll get it. That simple.

In '07? LSU needed a lot of losses by other teams to jump anyone, and then ended up in the second slot, not first. You are just assuming because it's an SEC team they will end up in the BCS NCG.

It all depends how far this team would drop after the loss and who they fall behind, and how big a jump Oregon would get for winning their CCG>

Yes, I would guess it is possible but not likely IMO. Also, facing Oregon a 2nd time looks easier at the moment.

I don't know why you'd want us again. We're twice as good now as we were when we destroyed you the first time.

The Ducks are better off going to the Rose bowl and getting that monkey off their back.
