QB Gunner Kiel decommits from Indiana

Columbus East (Ind.) five-star QB Gunner Kiel has re-opened his recruitment.
Gunner Kiel has confirmed with Scout.com's Chris Emma that he has re-opened his recruitment after previously committing to Indiana.
At this time, the Kiel family told the Indianapolis Star that they would like to keep the names of schools they are looking at to themselves, but did say a visit to Notre Dame this weekend was likely.
Kiel has offers from Alabama, LSU, Florida, Oklahoma, and many others.
Do we have any real shot here?

I'd guess he'll be deciding between OU/Bama, not sure if Bama will take him if they feel confident about Winston. Idk what's going on with them

Everyone is saying that OU is not going after him and that he's not looking at them.Oklahoma is happy with Trevor Knight.Most also fell Bama is likely not a real threat for him with Morris commited and Winston likely.Kiel wants to be the only qb in his class.Looks like Michigan,ND,Tennessee and us at this point.We'll see who he visits other than ND this weekend.Smart money is on ND at this point.

People think Winston will flip to Bama? Not that it matters with MLB looming, but I'd heard he was all FSU until the offer comes.

LSU has at least a shot. LSU wants a QB.

Just going by what one of the 247 guys and one of the Scout guys have said the past couple of weeks.These 2 guys were the first guys I saw talking about Kiel reopening his recruitment a couple of weeks ago.Not saying that it's 100% true about him wanting to be the only guy in his class but it does seem to hold some water.I've read and heard endlessly that Kiel was basically commited to Bama a couple of times,not saying it's untrue because I don't know and didn't follow his recruitment at all,the question is if he was that close to Bama why didn't he commit to Bama?Serious question.Just wondering what changed so drastically to change him from being basically a commit to Bama to commiting elsewhere.What happened?
