I'll preface this by saying that I've always preferred Lee to JJ, I've never been a big fan of Jefferson. However...

With Ware out, the starting Offense with Lee takes a big hit. Obviously, you'll see more Blue, Terrance, and Hilliard when Lee is in the game.

But the play action/pound game will probably not be as effective.

So I think you'll see JJ get a LOT of snaps, maybe as much as 50-60%. Ford is a better pair for him in the backfield. They will need to run the ball effectively and JJ just gives a different dimension.

Plus, Saban will have to prepare for 2 different offenses, not knowing which one he'll see: the pro-style offense with Lee or the read option with JJ.

Furthermore, I expect this Defense to take it as a challenge to play without Mathieu, to take offense to people saying they aren't good without him, and to demolish Auburn's O.

Nah. Mathieu isn't even LSU's best CB and they have tons of Runningbacks.

LSU will be fine for an Auburn game, still will probably win by 14-21

We are deep at running back and deep in the secondary. It will still be a blowout. This is an overreaction.

God I hope not. Auburn's pass defense isn't very good. We can still stretch the field with Lee. We will need to do that to free up the run.

Auburn will put 8 men in the box when JJ is in because they know he can't pass effectively.

If we totally scrap the offense that's gotten us to 7-0 just because Ware is out, then we really are in trouble.

This.

This team responds to adversity and some talented youngsters are about to go off in our DBs' absence.

Book it!

Ware had 4 carries vs. Ky, and Lee threw the ball 21 times. I don't think Ware being out will effect that.

However, if JJ gets more PT, Miles is sending a whole other message that will come back to bite him in the arse.

It wasn't good last year and we didn't challenge it. But Crowton was pulling the strings, so.... maybe there is hope.

I like Lee too, but this is the exact opposite that happened last week with Lee in as QB. Vols dared us to throw and stacked. Our O's 1st half was not as effective with moving the ball and was helped by Montgomery - go watch.

Spread was a better scheme for that game. We will have to wait and see. One thing is for sure, we will be running both sets at times. But this TM thing is nuts!!!

JJ's not even been back 3 weeks, and these guys think they're at party central. They look at what happened to JJ as outside the program, not punishment by Miles. Hell, Miles sold it that ay. JJ came back for one day, and was rewarded with the 1st TD of the next game. And increasingly more PT.

We will see, but many posters (and sports commentators) have said Miles is playing with fire. He may have just got burned.

Umm no, one of the great things of having depth is that your offensive scheme doesn't have to change with one player gone. We still have Blue, Ford, and Magee to carry the ball in the exact same offense that we've been running all season.
There is no reason to change things up, Ware is a great back no doubt, but we have been recruiting plenty of RBs for this offense.

Teams have been putting 8 in the box against Lee as well. Hasn't stopped us from gaining yards on the ground.

I honestly think this is a game where Kenny Hilliard will get some pretty significant carries

Al Blue and Magee are big runners, but Hilliard's the closest to what Ware gives you imo..wouldn't shock me if he got worked in more than he has so far this year.

I agree 100%.

There's no reason to replace Lee just because Ware is out.

UK < AU offensively. Auburn is far more effective in their offense than UK is. Losing Ware, TM7, and Simon could be huge. Fortunately, this did not effect the defensive line, but someone is going to have to grow up quick at running back.

Pass protection by running backs may be the reason to do so. There may be a reason, but we'll see.
