some of you guys don't make any sense. if the poster is correct and Tulane will offer $1 -1.5 m
then Wilson would be a DAMN FOOL to turn down a 4 year guaranteed contract.
he could go the porter route and pocket a bunch of money and come back to LSU or elsewhere in a few years. besides, a coordinator doesn't make that much so it would take him over 5 years to make that kind of money.

i agree. $1-1.5 M, back in the city your from, in your home state where you have connections. Why not? Be stupid to turn down
If any man is right for the job, it is frank. I'm sorry but young coaches are working for a goal, just like a player. They do the best they can at their present position, trying to do a good enough job to be promoted to the next level on being on their way to their mark.
In another words, frank is a home state boy and does take pride in that, but he is a LSU coach, not a LSU fan. Some of you want these coaches to stay for ever, and sure that would be all fine and dandy, but be realistic. Being this young, having a job offer in your home town, not a far move from where your are now, your connections you have developed here, playing in the superdome, good alumni behind you, money is right...a damn fool if you don't accept. Best of luck to you frank!!

I would be surprised if Tulane would offer 1.5 mil to any coach that is not at LEAST a OC or DC at a D1 school.

A good coordinator at a LSU level program makes close to that. Going the route of Porter wouldn't be a good idea. Tulane is a freaking graveyard, success is highly unlikely. Its very possible that Porter never sniffs another head coaching job. When a coach fails to the degree he has at Memphis their future options are very limited. Failing like that is like a stain that you can't wash off. Not saying its right or fair its just the way it is.
