How pissed were you after the Arky game that year?

Yeah, I'd imagine LSU reserves will be around the $400 mark leading up to the Bama game, and definitely $500+ after LSU beats Bama.

Undoubtably they will. I just hope not until after Bama game. I was able to score 2 premium terrace before they sold out.

Yeah, we bought them for $100 each in 2007...Can't remember if we did it preseason, but we definitely did it early in the year.
this year I got LSU for $180, but only because I waited til week5 or so.

I really wish I would have bought Bama at the original price....

So the pricing guide is wrong? Or just not applicable. I see where Alabama's are a lot higher than what the pricing guide lists they should be. Just wondering

They were dirt cheap after the loss to Arkansas.

I know, buying the Bama reserves woulda been a great way to hedge your bets. Missed out on them too.
Ok. state may be a good play leading up the the OU game.

Ahh gotcha. I understand now.

The Sugar Bowl only allocates a certain number of tickets to this deal....Let's just say 2,000 tickets for the sake of conversation. I'm not sure what the exact number is for each team.
Assuming there are still unbought reserves out of that 2,0000, the prices go according to the chart/rankings (as they are not sold out... no one is going to pay somebody $500 for an LSU reserve when the Sugar Bowl itself still has LSU reserves at $190)
Once all 2,0000 are sold, there are no more, and the ones that are bought/sold on there are merely priced according to market forces and what the 2,0000 owners are asking.

No, once you buy an option, you then have the right to set your own price. If someone wants to pay your price they can buy from you.
There are an initial # of options available for each team. Bama's initial allotment is sold out, hence the higher prices.

let's buy 6 more @ $165. We'll have the entire trip paid for plus some

As you can see, LSU's "club sidelines" reserves are already sold out.
Unfortunately, the owners of all those reserves don't have them offered for sale right now, so at the moment no one can buy LSU reserves in the club sidelines. You can put in an offer, but there are none currently for sale.
Another thought...if I remember correctly, in 2007 you couldn't select your preferred section like you can this year. I like that change...being able to select either Plaza/Terrace/PremiumTerrace. Of course the prices are different, but at least you know what area of the stadium you are going to be in.

since I've already missed the boat on Bama reserves, I may buy 2 OU and 2 OkieState...seems like a pretty safe bet.

Can you reserve for multiple teams? I.e. if I thought for sure that 2 of 3 teams (okla/bama/Lsu) would make it. Could I reserve multiple seats for each team?
Eta: nvm, you just answere that above

yes, you can buy for multiple teams. But just remember if one or more of those teams don't make it, you lose that particular money (unless you sell the reserve later on in the season).

Clemson at $60 is probably the best bargain. A pretty big long shot to make the actual NCG but if they remain undefeated, their fans would probably go crazy buying them thinking all they would need is for the LSU/Bama winner to lose in the SECCG. Could make a pretty good profit flipping those.
ETA: Then again, they are Clemson. A let down is almost inevitable.

lsu plaza reserves have gone up $10 since saturday morning.
Posted on 10/17/11 at 11:54 am to T
they are still going according to the official pricing chart (which goes by rankings) until LSU's reserves sell out.
Posted on 10/17/11 at 11:54 am to T
I just bought 2 plaza reserves for 195 each. It's a small price to pay for the security of knowing that I am guaranteed to be there to watch my daughter in the GBFTL if the Tigers make it.
