Seriously?

Look, families plan weddings months in advance to avoid conflicts with LSU Football. All organizations who value attendance do this.

But it seems absolutely stunning that an event this closely tied to LSU would schedule it at this time. Heck, it's a goddamn film festival. How hard is it to just swap out the morning film with a later one?

This does not look good for the project manager.

Cannot freaking believe they are putting it at 2:15. They must've assumed this would be a night game. That being said I'll try to catch the second showing on Monday evening.

This blows my mind. I was going to email and complain, but it would do no good. If daddy dale and the current bball coaches didn't realize then they deserve an empty theater.

Believe us, guys! We tried desperatly to get the time changed. The screening time was set by NOFF before the game time was announced. Once we heard we called and begged but we were told the programs had already been printed and they wouldn't budge on the time. There is at least a second screening on Monday night for those of you who would still like to come and see it. Also, come to Walk-Ons and watch the second half with Dale and Trent.

There is about to be a screening at my house! I am downloading it right now

I love Dale Brown. When I was 12 years old I was nicknamed the "Dale Brown Fan Club" by LSU fans because of how much I loved LSU Basketball under Dale Brown.

I saw him back in July and asked him about the movie. I can't believe I am finally about to watch it...the trailer gives me chills!

And I will give a better quote than "Compelling" by Bob Costas

I love coach Brown. I remember receiving a purple and gold basketball for Christmas when I was a young teenager. Coach Brown signed it "Aim high". I enjoyed hearing him speak on his radio shows bc I knew if I felt bad about something in my life, that coach Dale would say something positive that would help me flip a switch. I really wanted him to win a National Championship...just once. He gave his heart and soul to his players and the Louisiana community. The man is real and is a example of God's love.

I wish he would have coached more than 25 years but he did a lot for those less fortunate. When he leaves this earth, there is going to be a lot of tears...of sadness and of joy for the great man that he is.

The 5 Ps - prior planning prevents piss pour performance. Hope they get a turnout at the post screening event.
A fun era in Tiger bbal.

One of my favorite Dale quotes - NCAA completed a 14 month on campus investigation & uncovered 4 minor infractions.
"Hell, put me in the Vatican for 14 months & I'll get something on the Pope"!

Dale Brown was a consultant on "We Are Marshall."

Just finished it...Very Very Good. It's not too long. And the old footage of the games just gave me the chills.

Really helps you understand Dale Brown.

I also looked at it as an outside viewer...someone who did not know who Dale Brown was...and I think it is even better for someone who did not grow up with it.

The Wooden/Rupp Banquet was the bomb! I never knew that...Dale Brown was...and is a very special person...and the film captures that!

PS-Vernal Singleton needs to get his damn degree!!!

My late father was a Marine vet of War II and fought in the Pacific. He was a big fan of LSU bball and we had season tickets to LSU during Dale's heyday - we were returning home one night after watching LSU dismantle Tenn - he never really talked about his war experince, however that night he told me and my older brother if he ever wanted someone in his foxhole with him it would be Coach Brown - cause no matter how much they would be outnumbered Brown would find a way to kill the enemy.
