Les Miles (6), LSU. Won the 2007 national title, started to fall out of favor in Baton Rouge in '08 and '09, rallied impressively last year and has cemented his credibility and popularity in 2011. A certifiably odd dude, but his players would skinny-dip in alligator-infested bayous for him. Ranking on the Zooker Goofball Scale: 8.5. Next test: Auburn on Oct. 22.

An 8.5 on the Zook scale is not exactly praiseworthy and is off base by Forde.

Forde couldn't get an economics degree from Michigan if he spent 20 years in the attempt. Les is crazy like a fox.

I think you are taking this entirely too seriously. Miles IS as goofy as his media persona. The media did not use special effects to show him munching down on grass. The media didn't run the wrong way in excitement. The media doesn't use "see ya" like a 21st century "y'know." He is goofy, but it doesn't matter. Goofy isn't bad. Les doesn't take himself overly seriously like that little Narcissistic Gnome in Tuscaloosa.
I love Les Miles BECAUSE he is goofy. Just do you, Les. It's redeeming, and I think that's the point that Forde is making.

Yeah he's certainly a goofy dude, but he's not a goofy idiot. His players are as loyal to him as any team could have in the country and he seems very good at motivating the guys.
