was livid and really called out the refs for the call on Wing. Called it ridiculous, they need to let the players play, change the rule back, etc.

I know we still rolled (actually at the time it could've been a game changer), but it's kinda nice to get some gratification. Terrible call. A TD woulda been really helpful in Wing's quest for the Ray Guy award

The right call for an AWFUL rule. I hated that it got taken off the board becuase it was one of the most exciting things I've ever seen. Ah well.

Ray Guy award
A TD doesnt really help him win a award for best punter. If you want to look at it that way, David should have won the Groza award.

I don't have much of a problem with the rule, i just thought this instance was a poor application of it. watching it live, even seeing the replay from the skycam following the play, he does it so quick that i couldn't even see it. to me, it wasn't worthy of a taunting flag, pretty ticky tack shite.

They should just force the team to kickoff from the 15 yard line.

It is giving refs way too much power. Why are we giving refs more power? Take power away from refs NCAA.

The problem I have with the call today is that every week there are at least half a dozen plays where even more questionable taunting occurs, but you don't see a flag. Hell many of them as mentioned above end up on Sportscenter.

The rule needs to be how it was. There is no reason to remove a TD from the board.

Whats Next? No smiling? He made no taunt directed at anyone. The gesture could have meant anything.

Wing is a lock for the guy award if he keeps pinning them inside the 15.

I think Wing absolutely should have been flagged. The new rule has little to do with it. He would have been flagged for the same thing last year.

The penalty is what has changed. I don't think for a second that type of penalty should take a score off the board.

I am just happy that we got away with it last week when ODB Jr. Taunted the entire Kentucky defense.
I guess it could be taunting however my issue is that unlike every other rule that takes points off the board, this one will never give an unfair advantage to the team committing the penalty.
