It's called doubt. Back in his prime, he absolutely believed he was invincible. Ever since his crash, he's allowed doubt to creep in. Those little blemishes he used to be able to ignore now probably seem like insurmountable problems to him right now.

Before if he hit a bad shot or missed a putt, it would be the spark that lit a fire under his arse. Now when it happens, he starts to think,"Oh shite, here it comes," like a normal golfer

I have been saying this about his MENTAL edge he had over other players since he tried to come back the 1st time. And I got bashed for it. I still don't believe he will EVER get the TIGER factor back. The other golfers are just NOT intimidated by him any more.

It's probably a combination of a lot of things y'all are saying here, but putting has to be at the top of the list. Yesterday he ropes a 6 iron to 4 feet and doesn't even draw iron on the putt..a total airball on the high side with a poor stroke. never thought I'd see his putting be so bad.

Yep. In the glory days if he had the lead or was tied for the lead Sunday morning, everybody else was playing for 2nd place and they knew it.

If the other golfers were still intimidated would Tiger sink more putts?
Did Tiger win all those majors or did the field just lay down for him?
