i hated to play Florida when Tebow was the quarterback and when the Ole Ball Coach was the head coach.
Tebow was a heckuva competitor and Spurrier was a great coach.

Those are the 2 everybody mentions, 75, at least in the 21st Century. I missed the first one, but was at the second - 2007 Florida was the most surreal event with which I've ever been associated.

Can't compare the two since I wasn't there at UGA 03, but I can say without any doubt that UF 07 was the most electric atmosphere and insane crowd that I have EVER seen at a sporting event or otherwise and I've been to plenty. I will never forget that night for as long as I live

I actually thought I was going to be physically injured from fans falling down in an avalanche during the 2003 Georgia game.
To this day, it's the greatest game I've seen inside Tiger Stadium.

UGA 03 was more electric. It seemed like it was us against the world and we were out to prove something. The crowd just seemed pissed that day and we decided to take out our anger by screaming the entire game.
UF 07 was loud for a couple reasons. One mainly being that UF was winning the entire game and we had to be loud. The second being USCw losing and we knew we were going to be #1 come Monday.
TS has not been the same since 07. The Bama game is as close as it has gotten and that was due to the hatred Saban brought along.

The three major Tiger Stadium epics of the last fifteen years (Florida 97, UGA 03, and UF 07) were all incredible games featuring atmospheres that could not be replicated anywhere else in college football. However, for sheer sustained noise and intensity, UF 97 is unsurpassed. No one expected us to win that game. The fanbase was desperately hungry for any taste of success on the national stage after a decade of misery. It was vengeance for the lashings that Spurrier had administered to LSU since he entered the league. It was a night game, we started fast, the crowd reached peak lunacy very quickly, we never trailed, and there were a bevy of dramatic plays. The contest took place during during the pre-Saban era, when we hadn't won an NC in forty years, before increased ticket prices and donation requirements, so the bowl was packed with the true blue-collar, salt of the earth, Bourbon quaffin', Cajun crazies that were the foundation of Death Valley. It all combined to generate decibel levels and a bezerk, unhinged chaos that I doubt I will ever witness again. JMO, having been to the games in question.

I know it's not supposed to matter, yadda yadda, but anyone who knows LSU football knows there is nothing like a Saturday night in Death Valley. Since that 07 season, we rarely get to play a team worth a damn at night anymore. However I will throw out that Auburn that same year was pretty crazy, especially after Flynn to Byrd with 0:01 on the clock.

Auburn 2001 played at end of season after delay of 9/11 attacks and winner take all trip to Atlanta. That game goes into the mix too!
And even with the loss...Arky OT game in 2007. Stadium was crazy loud for that game.

Couldn't disagree with that more. People hated the fact that he was an amazing athlete that would beat their arse given the chance. People hated even more that the guy was squeaky clean and bullet proof from controversy.
Outside of the 3 hours a year we played the guy (when I did, in fact, hate his effing guts) I though he was a stand up guy and a role model for others.

It hasn't been the same for one reason: the indolent, sluggardly, lazy nouvea riche dilletante fans who populate the east and west sidelines. Who are they? Corporate interlopers? They arrive late, the sit quietly and spend the majority of the game puttering around on their smart phones, and they leave early. They view the game as some ludicrous soiree, rather than a blood frickign war. I have vowed to get to the bottom of the situation on numerous occassions, but work and family intervene. Who are they? Why are they such terrible fans? I want to slaughter them.

That was a fun night. Managed to find my father and little brother on the field after the game. My brother-in-law bought his student ticket for face value 30 minutes before kickoff.
