Is Mizzou the fat chick at the bar when you're desperate and drunk?

I think so. Mizzou is the fat chick at the bar at about 1:30am when you're desperate at Sports or the Tiger or whatever Tigerland Bar you have now. You know you're drunk and you're buddies have hooked up or have girlfriends and you're in a slump and you've had enough beer in you that the fat chick looks good enough.
You know the fat chick with the pretty face.
I think the SEC is being desperate and would be better off waiting for the next day when you can possibly pick up a hotter chick.

Unless the school is in North Carolina or Virginia, there isn't a better choice. The SEC already got a share of the cable market for the 2nd largest state (Texas) in A&M. After North Carolina (10) and Virginia (12), Missouri (18) is the next largest state by population in the 'southeast' region. It's all about expanding the cable subscriber base for when the SEC network comes online.

This is a great pickup. Mizzou is not the hot chick that thinks she is all that (Texas), but will cheat on you. She is also not the nice looking chick (Oklahoma) that forces you to find a date for their fat spoiled cousin before she will go out with you. Mizzou is the 8 that fits in well.

That's a good question. I think that the SEC should think about adding a school from North Carolina or Virginia or a school with a bigger national following or name. I mean who really gives a shite about Mizzou Football?
If you want markets I think adding a school from NC or VA or another TX and FL school makes more sense.
Plus does Mizzou make the pie bigger so that each school gets a bigger piece of pie? The big ten studied the issue carefully and came to the conclusion that Mizzou did not make the pie as big as Nebraska or even big enough now with Nebraska in the big ten.
Will each SEC school get a smaller piece of pie now?

No, I think West Virginia fits that bill much better than Mizzou.

The SEC should wait. You can laugh at the big ten but the last two teams they added were Penn State and Nebraska.
I think the SEC should have waited to see what happens and see how strong the ACC is. Mizzou in 6 years or so would still be there and maybe a school like Oklahoma. Adding A&M alone was good enough for more revenue for each member school.
The SEC would have been fine with 13 teams and two divisions.

They have more fans than some SEC schools. its a populous state.
They are contiguous with Ark and Kentucky.
+ the bootheel portion is south of parts of Kentucky and Arkansas.
And they have better academics than some SEC schools.
All in all a plus, financially, academically and gives the wished for balance.
I dont see them as ugly at all. They have some departments that are higher rated than the corresponding LSU departments.
I bet their basketball team beats LSU, day one.
