Seems like natural fit, natural cross rival there IMO.

Why? B/c Nebraska beats them every time they play?

KU and Mizzou is a rivalry, Nebraska not so much IMO

Seems like a natural geographic rival.

They did, and maybe still do. But the B1G has shown no interest in Mizzou. Last thing Mizzou wants is to wait around and be left on the outside.

Yeah, I guess they've been in the Big 8 and Big 12 with them for awhile, just trying to remember a single game they've played against each other that's considered big.

Nebraska and OU is the rivalry that made the Big 8 every year

My newspaper told me that a year ago when the Big10 told them no.

If the Big 10 wanted them, they'd have been gone yesterday. They've always had a hard on for the Big 10.

They can either stay in the Big 12 and hope the Big 10 one day wants them, or go to the SEC now and be done with conference realignment drama forever...IF the SEC wants them.

No game against Mizzou is considered BIG because they suck and are irrelevant.

I have always thought of Nebraska and Colorado as bigger rivals than NU/MU. To me, KU has always seemed to be MU's rival.

Nebraska's real rival is OU anyway. Too bad the Big 12 killed it b/c they didn't do the permanent rivalry games like the SEC.

the SEC would be crazy to pass on the opportunity to add 6 million people to a cable network negotiation.

The Big 10 has no balls. If they did, they would invite KU and Mizzou.

This.

As a Nebraska fan, I will tell you that no one really thought of Mizzou as a rival. Only Oklahoma.

The past few years, when Mizzou has had decent teams, Husker fans got up for the game because it was a solid matchup... not because it was a rivalry.

Just my two cents.

Any series where someone wins 24 game in a row by about 20PPG on average hardly qualifies as a rivalry.
