i think we are as good at running the ball as bama. they started out great against florida and then florida adjusted. it was only late in the game when they really started running well and i have no doubt florida was gassed and down in spirit, esp after their qb went down. they adopted weiss' attitude; "i can't win with this" said he. and yes, JLee has definately earned my respect and unlike many vocals on here so has JJefferson. the JL vs JJ thing amongst our fan base has gotten out of hand.

You should have seen his reaction when JJ came back to the sideline after the score.

Lee gave JJ a hero's welcome.

After the TD he was also 10 yards further than everyone else out on the field pumping his arms in excitement. Jarret Lee.

Look, I'll be honest. I was disappointed that Miles didn't let JLee finish the series out, but I was NOT about to boo Jefferson. Just my $0.02...
Same here.

And I understood the many reasons for going with JJ, especially that he'll probably punch in 9 out of 10 of those, IMO. (Hoping the stats don't prove me wrong.. )

People are getting too caught in the individuals and losing sight of the team, even when they say they are thinking of the team.

I think it's pretty obvious that the reason most LSU fans like Lee so much is his attitude. He has great character. It's almost impossible NOT to respect him.

I agree... I keep having to remind my relatives and friends that we are talking about a COLLEGE KID here. Regardless (or Irregardless as some like to say) of who they claim they were booing, (Miles or Jefferson), you don't boo when a college kid is coming on to the field like that.

I was sitting in 304 and I remember seeing this one 9 or 10 year old kid standing up and clapping for Jefferson while the boo birds were making their noise. I was thinking if only we could all be like that!

As every LSU fan should've been doing too.

I did. Several of us in our section vehemently cheered for him in response to the boos. It was sad to hear the boos but there were plenty of folks literally standing up for him BEFORE the touchdown.

I want W's and don't care who is in the uniform as long as he's okay'd by the legal system and the head coach.

If you were surprised by the way Lee acted, then you didn't pay attention last year

I just hope to see Jefferson cheer the same way for lee. Have not seen it in the past two years. I was there and did not boo by the way. Just win baby!

The fans were divided, the players showed they are united and now we should follow their lead and cheer them all.

Lee did it last year too when Jefferson played. Can't say the same about #9.

Does this happen the other way around?? NOT AT ALL!! The reactions that JJ had on the sidelines last year when JL had success was what shows me who the true team leader is!!

I am ready to hire him when he graduates! Any one who can face the adversity he faced, especially in the public eye, will be phenomenally successful in the real world!

Your point is well taken but this thread is giving Jarrett his due. Not a pissing contest.

I brought this up later that night in one of the many "Trying to justify acting like a selfish a-hole" threads and it was completely ignored. If Lee was excited and happy for JJ, why couldn't the fans be?

I shared this point of view on a group during the florida game and it was ignored.
I even prefaced it with LSU's QB situation being better than Floridas right now and got ignored.
