This is a message board, I didn't have you in mind in particular and I'll generalize as much as I see fit! I do believe that TV households are the only factor that entered into consideration for expansion. Football is the only sport that drives the big money for the SEC. If we were truly interested in expanding for competitive reasons, we certainly would not be accepting a team that's won one conference championship in the history of its conference, hasn't won a bowl game since 2002 and is 2-12 in their last 14. We would be looking elsewhere if tv money weren't driving this.

TAMU has a lot of potential to be an annual contender down the road once they escape the Horns' shadow. you can also point to tradition, reputation, facilities, alumni, academics, rivalries, size, and especially recruiting base as viable reasons that add to their case

I have no problem with A&M joining the conference. I thought the LSU/A&M games were awesome in teh late 80's early 90's. Plus now, I only have to drive 1.5 hours to see my team play every other year.

Sure it's about money, that's how the world works.

Let the hate begin. The quicker, the better.

I hate each and every last one of you motherfrickers. God bless America.

Aggie tradition: The male cheerleaders must hump the Aggie mascot before home games for good luck.

frick A&M.

All this shite for a fricking TV market. Y'all will realistically compete very rarely, and College Station fricking sucks. Plus, now we have to deal with 13 teams and have the SEC schedule all fricked up, once again, for another few TV sets and a little more money.

I'd rather play Mississippi State next season than A&M. It would be a harder game anyway.

I hate Rick Perry yet I love Robert Earl Keen. I'm neutral on Lyle Lovett though he got Julia Roberts to marry him so I'll give him props for that.

Happy now?

A&M definitely seems like they are having more of a rough welcome than Nebraska and Colorado did when they joined the B1G and PAC-12 respectively.

I don't hate A&M (yet). I mean you are not Tennessee or anything.

If anything I kind of feel like you are being rescued. And once you are ok, safe, and home then we can stomp your face. However when you play anyone outside the conference, especially for the rest of the year in the Big 12, I will be pulling for you.

whose face is Georgia going to stomp anytime soon? Losing to Boise should have the Dawgs on probation.

Because those teams allowed those conferences to have a CCG, and they fit.

The Aggies actually kind of frick up the league as we know it. And everybody liked the SEC the way it was.

Exactly. A&M fricks everything up just for a more dollars.

No one will accept A&M in the SEC for a while. I truly believe that.

true, but you can't blame the aggies for that. it's up to the SEC office to determine how many teams they let in each year.

A&M to the SEC is like slapping an extra wheel on the back of a Porsche. It is not needed, and everybody who sees it goes "WTF purpose does that serve?"

Also, the extra wheel has a NAMBLA bumper sticker on it.

Most SEC fans are happy to have the Aggies. Good academics and sports. A&M finished #8 in the Directors Cup ahead of every SEC school except Florida. They are strong in athletics across the board. Plus LSU will have a real border rival. Arkansas and Ole Miss havent cut it.

We fricked up your conference, bwwwaaaaaahahahahahahaaaaa....

No, seriously. A&M should have to make all the accommodations for the up-coming 13-team schedule. Other SEC schools should bear as little burden as possible.

Now, frick you.

This simply isn't true.

On message boards, it seems to be around 50/50, (and the people posting are generally under 30).

I'd say its about 1 out of 10 people I have talked to that actually like the Aggies in the SEC. Most dislike it, others are indifferent.
