Outside of Texas, OU, and TAMU, Big 12 schools don't make much money. That's why teams would bail if given the opportunity.

And it means jackshit in regards to realignment. Bottom line for an individual school means nothing compared to gross value.

Mizzou draws barely 100,000 more fans than we do in market 10x the size. We are profitable in many ways. Apparel (15th), TV (highest rated Thursday and friday ESPN games have been WVU games), and as stated, one of only 22 teams to post a profit. I'm sure the bigwigs like seein a team that is a lot more self sufficient than a team bleeding money. If it's all about the $, then why bring in a team that you have to shell out more money for when a team that brings more athletically to your conference is right there. Better athletics = more money.

is this the discussion point?
don't major schools like ohio state actually lose money because of how much they put into their athletics?

Is Texas A&M making money? They had to borrow money from the school a couple of years ago.

It doesn't matter if you made money. That's not the purpose of an athletic Dept. How much revenue was generated?
Would you rather school A that generates 20 mil and spends 15 mil for a 5 mil profit, or team B that generates 100 mil and spends 110 mil making improvements and loses 10 mil?

ding ding ding winner winner winner.
doc profit doesnt mean shite. just means luck is a good business man. An econ 101 class would teach you that how much money you can make for your partners will decide if they let you buy in or not. If your gonna cost your partners money do to their share being smaller then why would any existing partner vote the new guy into a partnership?
its about revenue for existing members. WVU doesnt bring that to the table, now or in the future. Population is killing them plain and simple
YOU SHALL DEAL WITH IT!!!!!
