Hard to imagine LSU, AL & OU in the same conf. much less the same Division

If OU heads south instead of west & we keep the east - west alignment, the BCSNC would be a little anticlimactic.
Would the powers that be consider a north - south alignment to help balance the strength?

Pretty good balance, but to keep rivalry games, you would end up with 11 conference games.
Just a thought, but a north - south split would keep the Al, Au & FL games with an expanded conference.

Not really, all the TRUE old rivalries are in the East Division.

UA/UT
FLA/UGA
LSU/AUorUA LSU/FLA are relatively new rivalries that only matter to us (LSU). AU/UA/FLA can give two shits about the their LSU rivalry.

If OU were to come the conf is going to 16. If we go to 16, then there will be 4 div. For example.
1. OU, OSU (they would be tagging along), A&M, Ark
2. LSU, OM, MSU, FSU (If MO, flip with Ark)
3. GA, FL, SC, KT
4. AL, AU, TN, Vandy

Not out of the question per a friend here in Dallas. Also said their message boards look to favor a move to SEC over B1G and PAC. Just passing along info but wow - what a move that would be. OU, OSU, Mizzu and A&M to SEC.

If conferences go to 16, I think the BIG picks up Mizzou, Kansas, ND or Buffalo, and possibly Iowa St. All are AAU schools I think. WVU gets invite to SEC to make 16 teams along with OU/OSU/A&M
