Yeah, I know they aren't a football power, but they could be along the lines of a Ole Miss or Miss State.

What really intrigues me is their basketball program. Adding them in the SEC would be a huge boost from a basketball perspective.

Can you imagine the rivalry that would begin between Kentucky and Kansas??

Thoughts?

It isn't about power, although tradtion is required. Tv's & butt in seats helps the most.

He asked for my thoughts on Kansas in the SEC. I gave them - "0" but for you I'll spell it out real simple so you can understand: zero thoughts on the subject.

Kansas won't decline an invite just because of K-State.

Kansas would jump at an ACC offer right now.

I know a lot of people have mentioned that basketball doesn't matter in conference realignment but it is also important to remember that basketball doesn't matter in conference realignment.

I would enjoy watching Kansas, but they don't fit in the SEC for one reason:
There is a track around their football field.

I'd rather take UAB than take Kansas.

Kansas would be a great pick-up because "we" are not a basketball conference and they bring in the ESPN basketball money, we already have enough football and baseball teams and could use another Ole Miss on the schedule. Had a buddy suggest we also go after Duke and North Carolina so that we would dominate the big three championships.

No, but KU/UK would be one hell of a basketball rivalry.
