If the goal is to snag big media markets, obviously Clemson is NOT bringing that. However, if you're looking for a team that seems to fit well into the SEC mold, Clemson seems like a perfect fit.

ACC buyout raised to 20m. Acc teams are out for now.

Regardless of what anyone thinks at this point, it appears no ACC teams are switching over to the SEC.

I just read FSU rivals board WarChant and 90% of their fans are in favor of moving to the SEC.

i agree with the OP - clemson would be a good fit.

i think folks are overemphasizing the need to expand the market footprint. obviously it's important, but it's not all important.

i also dont think a $20M exit fee is unmanageable.

Clemson has a following in the realm of Auburn fwiw. I did just read about the $20m though.

did slive say it's the only consideration? did he even say it's the top priority? if so, i'd love to read that.

what i said was that, although expanding the footprint is important, it's not the only consideration.

he said "all expansion WILL increase the SEC's footprint"

that added with all the other factors show clemson to be less of an option than FSU, which is saying something.

Yeah the SEC has one Tiger team too many now. And we have the original Death Valley, so there.

FSU, imho.

They watch the ACC because it's relevant to them. They have interest in the SEC in a regional sense.

I don't want the Southeastern Conference to be in Missouri. Dallas is pushing it, but is TCU really a big draw there? My guess is that people in Dallas are fans of schools like UT, OU, etc.

It's all moot about Clemson (or FSU, etc.) because no ACC teams are leaving apparently.

this is the dumbest thing ever posted. why would you NOT want the conference in new, large tv markets?

i can see not wanting the TEAM mizzou, but the state of missouri as a tv market? good freaking god
