fsu planned this meeting before any of these teams had been reported to be applying.

They scheduled it before the media reported these schools were applying. If you think FSU found out when we did, then you're not thinking this all the way through. It's extremely likely FSU knew about this before they scheduled their meeting. You don't apply to a conference until you've had substantial talks with them already and are assured you're going to get in.

Key word. Teams dont put their name out there to the press until they know they have a done deal. This has been going on for several weeks. This didnt happen overnight. The only way that there isnt a chance of FSU leaving is if the "expansion meeting" was canceled. Other wise they are wasting taxpayer and tuition money by sitting around in a useless meeting (may not be out of the realm of possibility
) ETA: Im not saying its likely that FSU is coming. Im just saying there isnt really legitimate reasons to be having a meeting.
