His lawyer sounds like he costs a lot of money per hour.

But Unglesby said Jefferson is suffering with each passing day. His suspension means the star athlete is not taking part in activities with the LSU Tigers football team, which is already three games into its 2011 campaign.
wow.
Does he have a right to this...you know, being a "star athlete" and all.
this motion is a loser, DA is seeking grand jury and nothing will happen until it is filed with them.

Playing situation aside, if it does end up that he was not the instigator in the fight, and he did not actively participate in the fight, then Jefferson really got screwed in this whole situation.
I hope the truth of everything eventually comes out, and if he is proven innocent, then he really had a once in a lifetime opportunity taken away.
I like Lee at quarterback, but I can't imagine losing my senior year to a false accusation. We'll see what plays out.

For what reason do you say this?

The motion is for a hearing which he will get. Also think this may get thrown out if he can prove everything he alleges in the pleading.

Unglesby describes Jefferson's role in the scuffle as that of a concerned teammate who intervened only to separate other LSU players from the melee. He said Jefferson does not drink, was not intoxicated and did not at any time kick the alleged victim.
Then it should be really easy for JJ to identify the "real" kicker. Identify the "real" kicker in a closed door meeting and have Miles give the "real" kicker the opportunity to apologize to JJ in front of the whole team before turning himself in.

since there are medical records...alleging his injuries are exaggerated will be tough. Unless the doctors are in on the conspiracy.
As for the instigation....again, tough considering the video from inside Shady's bar where JJ walk right by Lowery and the girl JJ supposedly was protecting, like he didnt even care.
You are right, he'll get his motion heard, but it is a loser. This rests on the grand jury getting an indictment. They do bad for JJ. They don't, good for JJ

Do you care to give us a synopsis of the article?
Posted on 9/16/11 at 4:47 pm to la_birdman
Again, has anyone heard of one or more of the group of players that were at Shady's saying the JJ's were not involved?
Maybe they have said it, but I think there would be screams if ANY player has professed their innocence.
Eyewitness over conjecture and assumption every time.

This is my sentiment also. I feel really bad for JJ especially if he is found not guilty.

I guess Jessie Jackson will show up next...

Lee is doing what he needs to do why do you want JJ playing now?
