I also cringe thinking about our line trying to block those animals on LSU's Dline.

St. was averaging over 300 yards rushing or some such nonesense, and only got 50 or so on them. That's troublesome, but we can't run anyway, so let's throw it 80 times and see what happens.

Good luck with that, give our DB's a chance to get some more picks.

PP last year is irrelevant. We are totally different team on offense and much improved in all aspects of defense but maybe linebackers. Even they look even killed.

Plus we had a lead on them and couldn't produce offensively. But either way the game last year has no relevancy on what happens this year.

Great stuff. I can read this all day long:

quote:

LSU's Defense will probably be the best WVU faces all year (despite claims of MooU).

They hit hard, tackle well and pressure the QB at all times.

quote:

We know going into the LSU game we will not be able to run the ball. If we can't run against Norfolk St., we sure as hell can't run against LSU. But, we may be able to move the ball on them a little better through the air than what Miss. St. did. 19-6 doesn't scare me at all. Miss. St. was averaging over 300 yards rushing or some such nonesense, and only got 50 or so on them. That's troublesome, but we can't run anyway, so let's throw it 80 times and see what happens. I also cringe thinking about our line trying to block those animals on LSU's Dline. Quick passes to open grass. Our defensive depth may be an issue since they like to run it down people's throats.

quote:

LSU Defense
WOW.

quote:

Omg, LSU is going destroy Miss. State. Reply
That defense is nasty. You better be watching Dana!!!!!

quote:

I hope they don't destroy us.

someone who DID watch the game. LSU is beatable,

I think it would take a super offensive game plan and some turnovers, special teams play. OUtside of Bama, I don't see anyone just manning up on lSU. The LSU offense to this point is too conservative and if someone gets the lead (via turnovers/ST's) I could see them beating LSU

The realization that Maryland will beat them THIS Saturday needs to set in. Then we get to wax them.

We beat MSU in 2006 and 2007 with a combined score of 80-27, but that was then and this is now.

Your defense is TOUGH this year and the offense is coming along. Probably should have scored more points against MSU than what you did, but it's an SEC road night game and that's just how things go in your conference. No such thing as an easy win.

Honestly you guys have a great shot at beating us next weekend, but nothing is ever guaranteed at night in Morgantown. I think our guys will come out ready to play and hopefully be able to keep the game close and maybe win.

You might win, but we have a chance of winning, too. All I want to see is our guys come out and play with heart, which is what being a Mountaineer is all about.

someone who DID watch the game. LSU is beatable, but not sure WV is going to be "gelled" by next week - coach Stew-pid did a lot of damage and it may take a whole season or more to fix the damage. But Holgy's offense can probably score a few points - - so looking for a good game

Yeah, PP got us a TD we needed to win the game. I fail to see how that is indicative of anything regarding this year's game.

Our defense is better this year so far, and I would argue our QB play is significantly better.
