anyone else think OU is bluffing?

i don't think they have any intention of going anywhere. they are using this situation to get as much power as possible. ultimately texas wants to stay in the big 12 and are going to have to give in to some of OU's demands. beebe will do whatever it takes to keep them which means more money for the sooners. nice job by boren leaking all of these pac 12 rumors. he is going to get OU on equal footing with texas before it is all said and done imo.

No because there is no way Texas is giving up the LHN which means they will always have a lot more revenue then OU. Plus how big of a pussy will OU look like if they stick with Texas. It will basically be like saying they can't live without them.

OU is tired of being Texas' bitch if the Pac 12 wants them they gone

I hope you are right. Honestly I have no idea. UTa and OU stay and add BYU does seem the most logical. Can't stand the idea of 16 team conf.s 2,000 mi away from each other. The world seems to have gone mad.
aTm seems to not be bluffing however.

No bluff. They would have to be out their mind if they are. This causes the Big 12 to be even more unstable because now everyone else is scrambling for back up plans and someone else may just jump ship because they don't want to be left out when Big 12 dissolves...

If they stay together for this year. . .next summer it will be same song, different ending. You are just delaying the inevitable.

I agree with this.
I think OU is just showing Texas they ain't skeered of them one bit.

NO, not bluffing. If the conference implodes (and it is happening as we speak), they will drop below 10 schools. Drop below 10 and they lose TV deals and potentially the BCS auto bid. Every school will lose shite tons of money. They could scramble to replace the schools, but you have to find schools willing to deal with Tejas and their network, and ones that are appealing to TV contracts. OU is jumping and wants some peace and quiet....

going back to T. Boone's interview during the game a couple of weeks ago - no bluff. I think they are calling their hand. Either Texas gets right on revenue sharing and being part of a unified conference, or OU is gone.

A&M convinced OU that they (A&M) were not bluffing, so OU/OSU will leave unless texas changes their ways. Texas is like the monkey that can't pull the fruit out of the bottle (think lhn) so they just keep on doing what they do. OU/OSU are tired of that act and if they had a pair between 'em, would have already sent their "We gone" letter to Beebe.

they may be indeed. or maybe it's a multiple option deal they have.....get more from texas and the big 12 or join the pac12; either or. oklahoma, like nebraska, were long time Big 8 partners. they didn't "join" a conference with texas; texas "joined" a conference with oklahoma. people calling the big 8 and the 4 swc teams a merger are using tactful terms. these terms have been used so long that people believe them now. if the pac 12 is adding, i think they view that as a positive move. texas can threaten to kill the red river rivalry all they want; if they kill that and kill the annual rivalry game with a&m it will be texas that is hurt (and, of course, the networks which will probably prevent texas from those dumb moves).

meh, I doubt Texas actually kills the RRR and I haven't seen any indication of them threatening to do so. This game gets great ratings every year and is at a pretty cool, neutral site.
The annual game with A&M doesn't get great ratings outside of Texas and will probably be done. Those aggies get so worked up about that game they kill themselves (literally).

frick you, dong sucker. Your bonfire reference is like making a Katrina jab. Die in a Goddamn fire, bitch. We don't need to play your soon-to-be-irrelevant asses again. We were just trying to keep some sort of tradition alive. You are making it easier to walk.
And get that dude's dick out of your mouth.

Yeah, I'm mad.
Listen, not every school can have a good engineering program. It wasn't the fault of the student that their bonfire collapsed, blame it on their education.

Really poor taste making a joke about that tragedy. You're actually sick.

Only if you think gross incompetence is a tragedy.

You can think what you will about the mismanagement of that incident, but making light of Texans dying is poor taste, and your wording doesn't change that.
