Don't be a douche.

To the OP - not surprising, Starkville sucks (my brother went there, I'll never know why), and it's on Thursday....

State is the one away game I never buy through LSU. Unless youre a student or top 50 in TAF, you're stuck in the upper deck. The stadium just isn't big enough to allow many lower seats. I've always found better tickets around the lower LSU section for sale later on and cheaper.

It's also the only away game I've ever bought and sold for less than face value due to demand. Starkville sucks. Recruits don't like to go there. Fans sure as hell don't.

The main reason is the Thursday night kickoff. If you want to enjoy yourself and you are coming from out of town, you would need to take off a minimum of 1.5 days from work. Who wants to spend their vacation time in Starkville? I'm going to use 1.5 of my vacation days to see them play in Morgantown the following weekend. I've been to nine of the 12 SEC venues (including Starkville) and I'm not sure I'll ever make that trip again.

I work with a Miss St grad, so we have gone to Starkville for every game. Except in 2007 and this year.

They do not open up campus to tailgaters. So the Thursday night game makes it not worth the road trip.

You are right. I live 50-minutes from MSU and I know that if you go to this game w/o a ticket you will be able to find tickets with LSU fans in the LOWER DECK. You simply cannot see from their upper decks which is where most of the tickets on ticket exchange are located.

Maybe this will get Alleva's attention.

LSU fans don't want any part of Thursday night games.

I do feel bad for the team though with not many Tiger fans to support them against all those cowbell-ringing hicks.

I went to the 2007 game in Starkville, which was also a Thursday night game. There was a huge LSU fan presence that night but it was the opening game of the year. Also, it was just before the Labor Day weekend, so I'm sure that a lot of folks used the game as an excuse to take a couple of days off and make it an extra long weekend.
