Mettenberger has NFL talent written all over him.

give this kid more playing time and in 2012 we become the 800 pound gorilla with a chain saw for a penis! I know its kinda early but I can see LSU being 2012 preseason #1 from start to finish next year.
btw, dont get me wrong I still think LEE as a senior qb gives us the best chance to win it all this year. Lee might not put up amazing passing stats but he will not turn the ball over.

Dude is so relaxed in the pocket, watching both QBs each play for a half in person, it really seemed like Mett was the starter and Lee came in as the sophomore.
Mett is certainly the real deal.

He plays 2 quarters against a high school team and he's competing in the pro bowl...

You must've really wanted to post this. How have you been around that long, and still think this would be an original thought in any way. Mettenberger will get his time, but it's not his time yet. IMO you should get behind the guy that's in there, and support him since he's playing well. Is that too much to ask a Tiger fan?

let him play against a good defense and under pressure before we anoint him the next best thing next to white bread.

I have no problem with Lee . You can check my posts But metts passes do get to the receiver a whole lot quicker. He has more zip on his passes. especially out in the flats... He is also very calm in the pocket. Its early yet, but he surprised me the way he played, even though it was vs NWS.

He also throws a stop route with perfection, hitting the WR allowing him time to turn around and make a play on the DB.
Lee throws that same pass as a 5th year SR, and every time, as soon as the ball gets to the WR, he is getting hit, no chance to do anything after the catch.

At one point, I figured the roars of message board QB issues could plausibly trickle into the coaching staffs ears.
Then when JJ remained the firm number one all last year, I knew majority fan opinion carried no weight at all.
To further illustrate this, Les confirmed this recently on his radio show when he didn't even know who "J.J." was, after a fan asked him about Jefferson's status.
To my point, any call for Mettenburger snaps will only fall on deaf ears, that is, outside of TD.

yup
anyone expecting Les to make some drastic QB change is being a little naive.
Lee deserves it at this point, most guys would have bolted after the shite he went through...and hes playing fine.

Wait till he's pressured. He's already had close calls, and now you jinxed him....great!
