Please tell me how long that takes. Russell Wilson of Wisconsin started practice a few weeks ago with a new team and picked up on the offense pretty damn good. LSU's offense can't be that complicated, we run the toss dive 30 times a game. He cleary has a better arm and mechanics than lee, but to not give him a shot at starting because he is still learning is bull.

I'll take me senior Qb with real experience against Bama/UF this year...come back next year with a kid who has had more time to develop.

Maybe Wisconsin was desperate.

You're comparing a guy in graduate school to somebody whose only a sophomore. Did you not see the play calling for Mett, they ran the same 5-6 plays

Just search for one of the many "retard claims Mett should start because of 11 passes against NSU" threads and youll know how these things end up and we can skip the torture of seeing you post any longer

Is Miles on record as saying this is the reason?

Apparently years. He still hasn't faced an SEC defense (sarcasm)

that was stated in the spring. mett is talented, yes, but all he's done is play in the second half against a bad team, and not even have as good of numbers as the starter.

so i dont understand?

Cool post . Let's compare Russell Wilson going from the fricking ACC to the Big 10 to Mettenberger having zero SEC experience (when we have a very experienced quarterback in Lee)

Lee is 2-0 this season and has performed well thus far.

So, OP, you are suggesting that going from the ACC to the Big 10 (trash leagues) is just the same as a guy with no SEC experience coming in and taking over for a RS senior who has seen it all?

Is that right?

There are three certainties in life.

1. Death

2. Taxes

3. LSU fans will demand the backup QB start

So who thinks that the OC/QB coach goes to Miles and says Mett is the guy who gives us the best shot...

...and Miles says "frick that"...we're playing Lee.

Who really thinks that?

I really get upset knowing that all of the good talent evaluators don't get their shot at working for LSU.

Once Mett found out he was 3rd string behind JJ, he lost all motivation, including in the classroom. FACT. Its only due to recent events that hes gotten re-focused. Notice his new haircut?

Miles said very recently (in the last week or two)that Lee is 'easily' ahead of Mett.

I have a feeling Mett may have suddenly "learned" the offense when LSU stacks the box and JL can't throw us out of repeated 3rd and 7s.

It took Jefferson 3 years to learn option left and option right. We discussed simplifying it more.

Lee has none nothing to have the starting gig taken away from him.

Hold your water till Lee stumbles or Mett does something of note against someone other than a Northwestern St. type team.
