It doesn't matter what anyone thinks. JJ's career at LSU is over.
Nobody knows what the future holds for Jefferson.

I didn't start this thread to discuss Jefferson. You got a complaint with a digression of the thread? Look at your first sentence. Oh, and take a moment to speak to Mr. Reinhold.

Also I noticed personnel packages were changed with the play clock in the mid 20s and Lee was looking at the defense in the mid teens. Which allows for shifts and sight adjustments to be routine and not rushed
This is a huge change and much needed. Last season we weren't lining up until under 15 seconds left on the clock most of the time.
More time to read and adjust to the defensive formation. Far fewer calculations for QB and receiver to make. Sounds like a recipe for success.

Its also really nice to have 2 qbs that look in complete control of the game.
Amazing what a QB coach and a new OC can do.

that a-hole will NEVER EVER EVER concede that point.

Krags and fricking greg studrawa could do for JLee in few months what crowton couldnt in 4 years.
I love it.

He was hired in January.

RobbBobb and TIGRLEE

If I started a thread about the elliptical nature of footballs, would you still suck Lee's dick in the thread?

I love being able to have some actual confidence in our Offense.

Last year, if we got a touchback on a kickoff or our Defense didn't get us the ball back with a short field, I never felt confident that we could drive the ball 80 yards down the field and score.

This year, I actually have confidence in our Offenses ability to do that against pretty much anybody.

I really think Crowton's ego is what ruined his chances at LSU. In 2007, when we were running the mish-mash of Jimbo's, Les's, and Crowton's Offense, we were amazing. The formations and playcalling were excellent and in most cases our O ran like a well oiled machine. Now, admittedly, we ended up with QB troubles after '07, but when Crowton decided to fix an offensive scheme and identity that wasn't broken to begin with and fully implement his crappy Offense, things went downhill from there.

You have been the biggest JJ cheerleader on here. The offense has exploded in his absence. You sat around all weekend wringing your hands about how to defend your credibility about your obvious lack of football knowledge, and this is the best you can do?

The offense is dramatically improved because weeks before the 1st game the OC stepped down due to health problems, and we had to rush in a guy, unprepared, to take over!!

More teams should hit upon this amazing, uncharted strategy. Get over it. Your rep took a hit, and you cannot change that

The qb's dont make dumb mistakes

Lsu to me, has been a "not smart" team for three years.

It's nice to feel like the qb's have control of the offense and it runs pretty smooth.

Far fewer mental mistakes with a different qb in there.

I'd still like to see us mix it up a bit. A little play action on first down while in the I formation would be nice. Or bootleg- we can smash it against Oregon and NWST but the SEC teams will not let us run up the gut on first and second down. I worry about third and long, starting this week.

Maybe we've been holding back. Hell, we haven't even seen the quick handoff to the man-in-motion, maybe because Shep's been out but you'd figure Beckham or Landry could handle it.

Im sure we will... offense has been vanialla as vanilla can be the first two games.
Jlee will get more and more confident each game as will coaches.

I know it has typically been a Rant joke in the past- that the staff was waiting to unveil the "secret" playbook- but I do think there is more to the offense than what we have seen.

Had the Oregon game been tighter in the 4th, we would of been forced to do some different things. We clearly could have not thrown the ball once and beat NWST.

OBJ actually got the jet sweep against NWST. So I think a variety will be mixed in moving forward.

If we can control every game by simply running the ball, that's what Les will do. But if needed, I think we'll see some new wrinkles.

I loved how with a minute left in the first half we didn't run three times and then punt the ball or go for three, but opened up the passing game and scored seven.
