T. Boone on Thursday night FB

says he wants Big 12 to stay together and wants equal revenue sharing. Would Texas really agree to that?
Posted on 9/8/11 at 9:33 pm to Latarian
I don't think Texas will agree. Maybe they would though because no matter what (unless they go indy) there HAS to be revenue sharing for a conference to succeed. Period. If they go to the PAC, they'll revenue share. If they go to the BIG10, revenue share. So, they might as well revenue share in the Big12.
They need to add TCU or BYU stat (maybe both, or more Texas teams like Houston and SMU and then shift some schools north; probably OSU). They also need a team in the north. No idea who that would be. Maybe they could somehow entice Boise State or Louisville.
But they need someone who can compete.

Smoke screen. Also said OU & ST are a package. Wants equal revenue sharing. Guess that includes the LHN - never happen.
T-Boone just sent a message - was anyone listing?

He's saying unless there's equal rev sharing, they're bolting.
See my above post. I think UT goes with it, maybe.
Add TCU, and SMU to the SOuth. Move OSU north then add boise.
I think that would make a pretty competitive league.
North:
Iowa State
K State
Kansas State
Mizzou
Boise state/BYU
OSU
South:
UT
Baylor
SMU
OU
TCU
TTECH

Wishful thinking - T-Boone's message to Bevo & the Big12(10-1) was,"Bye"!
To the masses - we'll listen to all offers.
Folks in Austin have to be looking at each other saying,"what just happened "?! All of a sudden OK is in the drivers seat. Go cry on your ESPN benefactor 's shoulder TX!

You want that to be true so much it hurts doesn't it?

Why does everyone assume OU and Ok State are going to join UT in the Pac12. If Texas is the cause of all this drama and OU and OSU have finally had enough, why in the hell would they go join another conference with UT?
ETA is that edited enough for you?

Posts like this make me think I can't take anything I read on the conference expansion board seriously. Most of you are either uninformed or just spiteful bitches.

Auburn Cometh - I know it's late, so I respectively suggest you take a breath & edit your post.
The package is Ou & OSt. TX not in the same picture.
Have a good day.

How is that a spiteful comment? It's a legitimate question. How can OSU and OU be so tired of UT that they are ready to bolt to the Pac 12, but they are gonna go with the school they are tired of dealing with.
If I was that tired of someone i wouldn't blow up one conference just to join another one with them. What would they gain besides having to travel 1400 miles or more to conference games?

More importantly, why do a lot of people on here assume TCU would leave the Big East, which stands a chance to pick up Big 12 pieces, so they can go to the unstable Big 12 and add stability to it? TCU is basically kingmakers to some degree, so why would we bail out a conference that left us out to dry both in 1994 and last year when we looked to get in, while spitting in the face of the conference that invited us, has great media market exposure and coverage, and stands to have a huge TV contract in a year?
People on here need to quit vomiting every idea that comes to them and keep their opinions to themselves until they actually read a few news articles or hang around here reading posts for a few days.

Aside from the obvious instability, I would be shocked if TCU went to the Big 12 because they would probably have to pay an assload of money to the Big East to do so.
With the instability included, they would be retarded to go, thus why it won't happen. Most people connect TCU's really good non AQ football program and the geography and think its that simple. Few probably even know TCU is going to the Big East.

Atari - time to face reality son. The bevo arrogance has finally reached the limit. A&M stood up & said, enough.
T-Boone reiterated that tonight. Bevo ain't driving the bus any mo! ACC will be a good landing unless you are arrogant enough to think you can go independent with your sugar daddy ESPN.

i'd love to see ut go to the big. and when schedules are made up, put texas' away conference games @ osu, michigan, happy valley, wisconsin etc in november. do steers and queers like snow?

TCU is not a kingmaker because they are not involved in any way with Big XX-2-1.They found a home and I'm glad for them, but they are onlookers.
I hope that sip and the EsipN channel go indy
