UPDATE, 3:55 PM: Baylor was among six Big 12 schools that will not sign a waiver to allow Texas A&M to go to the Southeastern Conference following a meeting of the Big 12 presidents Wednesday afternoon, a source close to Baylor told the Tribune-Herald. The other schools were Kansas, Kansas State, Texas Tech, Iowa State and Missouri.

If Oklahoma reaffirms its commitment to the Big 12, the schools are expected to sign the waiver that would allow the Aggies to go to the SEC without any legal action.

The Sooners, who are reportedly considering a move to the Pac-12, are expected to make their decision within the next two weeks.

So I assume there will be legal action against OU also if they don't reaffirm their commitment?

1) Sounds like Mizzou wasn't in SEC's ideas if thats the case aka Chip Brown Wrong Again
2) A&M leaving the Big XXII-II-I regardless.

It looks like the Sooners will get sued as well.

Wolf Shirt, the Big 12 minus A&M could add BYU in football and stay viable.

I don't see why Oklahoma would want to stay in that garbage conference in any event.

Aside from the fact they can win it every year.

It seems like moving West would be better for the Sooner program as well.

Sounds like Texas will salvage some kind of Big 12 at all costs.....Houston, SMU, New Mexico, BYU, Air Force, Etc.

OU leaving is not the hammer.

If OU leaves, just like A&M, Baylor will aggressively go after them. Pac 12 will probably ask for the same waiver like SEC and OU will be stone-walled.

add BYU

BYU is delusional and thinks they can be the Notre Dame of the west.

I'm sure at some point the truth will hit them in the face, dont know if it would be soon enough to save the Bevo XII - 2

Even if BYU says no, schleps like Houston, SMU, Memphis and New Mexico would sell their sisters into sex slavery to be the pawn of the Horns and to join a BCS conference. They will agree to games on LHN and whatever else Texas wants.

Texas will have its own network and its own BCS conference.

I think the exact response was that they're happy with their independence, which isn't an outright "no" as much as "whatever you offer me better be good."

This statement is the personification of UT arrogance and douchebaggery.

Take note, SEC friends. This is what we've been referring to all along.
