I have a serious man-crush on #99.

quote:

Monty’s meds

It’s rare that a referee will make a comment to a player during a game, but the way LSU defensive end Sam Montgomery was carrying on led to an exception.

Montgomery, playing in his first game since going down with a knee injury Oct. 2 against Tennessee, at one point started pounding his fists on the turf.

“All I could think about was 'Drums ... beat drums ... beat Oregon,’” Montgomery recalled.

“Then one of the referees told (the other linemen) 'I think you’d better get No. 99 some medication.’”

Why would a ref from the Oklahoma game say that about Sam?

Wasn't this on the first UO possession?

Sam is probably my favorite Tiger on the roster. I have watched him play in multiple high school games since I live in SC and dude is a BA! This defense is SO sick, I love it! This team reminds me of a smashmouth 70's style NFL team. I'm very excited about this year.
