I think that it is safe to say Crowton was the problem with the O last year

Minimal penalties, no confusion on the playcall or where to line up, no WTF play calling. Just good old fashion ram it down your throat, pound the rock and just try to stop us LSU football.

I agree.

But the maturity of the O-line helps - and still a work in progress with Lee under center.

No Short side options frickers!

Did you not notice the turnover?

We went with what worked instead of trying 10 different things. Biggest difference.

Crowton was the problem. We ran what worked and kept doing it.

With crowton we ran a play that worked then tried a whimsical play and never returned to what worked. QB play was improved. Not perfect but improved. We put lee in a position to succeed. He wasn't asked to come from behind. Last year the play calling hurt our QBs.

Fix the WR drops and this is a really amazing team.

Lee did well and would have done better if not for 7 drops.

Really bro? One play. Last year we nearly had a delay of game at least once a drive because of wrs and qbs looking to the sideline with a wtf face.

Mistakes happen. We limited them.

Lonergsn just made a bonehead play.

Lots of LSU fans tried to pin the woes of the offense on Miles, so I guess to them it may be a breakthrough.

After one game we have it all solved?

I couldn't stand Scroton, but let's be real. It is only one game so far. Our passing was still pretty anemic.

Oregon's D and special team did a lot to make the Tigers look good.

Remember they are an Pac-10+2 team, not an SEC team.

LSU has a lot of work to do, but it was a good start.

Oregon is a good team.

Stop thinking they're not.

Maybe so, but look at JJ's cotton bowl performance. Crowton was out the door at this point.

The point Drizz, is that they aren't an SEC caliber defense. They play in a league that isn't exactly known for defense.

If LSU had played against an SEC caliber defense in an opening game, I seriously doubt LSU would have looked quite as good.

It has nothing to do whether Oregon is considered a good team, or not. Unless you want to make the claim that Oregon has a good defense,

I bet you won't though.

That's the way I look at it...keep it in perspective...I am not ready to proclaim we are heading to the BCS championship game yet, but at the same time, we showed tonight we certainly are capable of reaching that goal as much as anyone else if we continue to improve...

LSU needs to play one game at a time, and get better each game. If the team (and coaches) can do that, the W-L record will take care of itself, and we will all be happy at the seasons end.
