I know that we had it overturned but how could the ref mess up that bad on the out of bounds play...he was right on top of the play. Also on the long pass completion that was called back...he said PJ was holding ...I only got to see the one replay but it looked like he just had a hand on top of his shoulder pads

That play and the "holding" play where Lee had the big completion to Beck were complete bull shite. Don't know what the frick they were looking at.

I was saying the same thing. That was an AWFUL call. The dude was standing right there and it wasn't close.

no way... they gave Oregon 8 points. Loston spearing hit was BS and they missed the passing interference when the ball was thrown to Beckham in the endzone.

What I want to know is if Les said something to them about leg whips on the UO offensive line. That rarely gets called once, much less twice in a game.

Did anyone else notice that on Oregons TD drive the reciever made a catch around the 10 yard line and threw the ball straight up into the air.

That is an automatic delay of game penalty. Can't believe they didn't call it.

Great outcome though so I'm not dwelling on the negative.

You gotta be kidding me. Loston tried to tackle the guy with the top of his helmet. I don't care if he didn't hit him, that was a dumb fricking move on his part. Why the hell would you try and tackle someone like that?

Refs did NOT have a good game tonight. But not nearly as bad as SEC refs... especially when an Alabama team is involved.

Fortunately, it didn't make a difference, but that holding call was terrible.

But RR also spiked the ball and no flag. Overall they were ok... oregon held some of our dl facemasks late in the game but they werent bad but on a few calls. Certainly bettee than some sec refs

But, is it a penalty to try to do something wrong? Can you really lead with the helmet if you do not connect? Is there really an "intent" rule?

They did a poor job showing replays of the penalties in the game, but the first leg whip was on the screen in retrospect (I love rewinding live TV) and was blatant.

Ware recovered that fumble. We shouldnt have had a turnover.

And Oregon recovered that fumble on the kick return.

I thought those were two bad calls. Guess they evened out?

But yea, that holding call was terrible.

minority report officiating

the first leg whip was on the second or third play.

I was surprised they started off with 3 penalties,

Nothing I said was wrong. He led with his helmet to try and tackle the guy. Dumb move on his part whether he hit the guy or not.
