I forget which way is closed this weekend. Last weekend it was the east bound side. But it's supposed to switch sometime soon. It's the morganza bridge a little ways before that shite hole town fwiw

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced that there will be six upcoming closures for U.S. 190 to allow crews to place a new epoxy overlay on the bridge deck of the US 190 Morganza Floodway Structure in Pointe Coupee Parish.

Each of the six closures are scheduled for six upcoming weekends in August and September and will involve a complete closure of one direction of traffic. The epoxy overlay work requires that both lanes be closed because the width of the equipment that is used to apply the material will block both lanes.

Eastbound US 190 will be closed on the weekends of August 12-15, 19-22, and 26-29. Westbound US 190 will be closed on the weekends of September 9-12, 16-19, and 23-26. Each closure will begin on Friday evening at 7 p.m. and be re-opened Monday morning at 5 a.m.

This schedule is subject to change because of weather and working conditions.
