They now have an agenda and it's definitely not about reporting the most relevant news at all.

aside from making a profit, which I realize is odd for a for profit business, what is this "agenda".

ETA: outside of games and college gameday, i don't watch much on ESPN, I just don't get the constant whining, or thinking everytime some on air personality says something some fanbase doesn't like they get all up in arms.

Promote 1212343 hours on pre season football, pretend like cardinals/brewers race isn't important last week.

You’re kidding right? ESPN is way too invested in so much of sports, especially college sports and more than anything college football. They attempt to come-off as an unbiased reporting channel when they have financial tie-ins that keep them from being objective. Like all monopolies, with no threat to them they’ve become corrupt and gained too much power.

This doesn’t even include some of the crap that goes on with their on-air “personalities”. The way they roasted Mike Leech for putting Craig James’ punk son in timeout was embarrassing. There are also more than a couple rumors going around that ESPN threatened to basically blacklist Maryland and never pick-up their games if they hired Leech.

I appreciate the impact ESPN has had on the amount of games available to watch, but anyone who views them as an objective sports reporting program is way off their rocker. Yahoo really needs to find a way to team-up with a channel and give them some competition. They’re the only ones left doing any credible sports journalism work these days. ESPN is full of a bunch of media whores who tweet any whiff of rumor without the slightest credibility and then no one says anything when these fools have egg all over their face.
