Just watched about ten minutes of the Mack Brown radio show on The Longhorn Network.

What a waste of ten minutes! What is Mack? 57 years old? He looks like he is 70 - 73.

Pretty sure its going to get pretty frustrating for him doing all those bullshite shows. He already is kinda dreading that thought. The LHN is going to be such an epic failure. Its going to blow up right in ESPN's and t.u's faces. Texas fans are really bandwagon. They will jump ship, and in a hurry when things falter. 1-2 football games and 8 basketball games is not going to make someone subscribe, and I doubt people will be watching because of the soccer and volleyball games.

I don't understand why OU is not as insulted by LHN as TAM. Why should any program with the tradition and success of OU be willing to let Texas run that conference. Why wouldn't OU want to leave and go to a conference where all teams are on equal footing with the revenues that the conference takes in and does not allow one team to have a competitive advantage over everyone else. The LHN with ESPN pumping 300 mil in the pockets of UT is as unfair an advantage as Miami players taking inducements from a multi millionaire.

OU's success has been due to filling its roster with players from Texas (think Adrian Peterson, or Billy Sims for older fans). There aren't enough 5* Oklahoma recruits (though it gets the lion's share of them) to provide sufficient depth to contend for national titles. If OU and Texas get into a squabble and somehow the Red River Rivalry is gone, so goes OU's toehold in Texas.

When Arkansas left for the SEC they stopped playing games in Texas. Their recruiting here ground to a halt. It only picked up again in earnest once they resumed the A&M series.

OU can't cut off its nose to spite its face. Playing Baylor OOC won't help.

Only as a package deal with Okie State. And the SEC doesn't seem to be interested in the latter (though it would benefit from such a move, getting out from under OU as much as possible).

More likely they and Okie State join the PAC-12 and Texas (along with Tech) goes along with them.
