Will Lee's story be one of the best comeback stories ever?

After watching LSU games over the past few days on CST I think that we as LSU fans overestimate what JJ was and how much we aren't losing. Lee has proven this past season that he can take pressure in the pocket and make all of the necessary throws. He has an incredible amount of talent to work with at WR, RB and TE. He also has great veteran O-line in front of him. This guy has been to hell and back and stuck with this team through it all. This is setting up to be an epic football comeback story. We will win the national title behind Lee's arm and I can't wait for the ESPN 30 for 30 "Comeback Kid- The story of Jarrett Lee".

Yes there will be movies made and books written about Jarrett Lee's senior season.

I completely agree. Anyone judging Lee from the ints his freshman year are plainly stupid. He's shown much loyalty and dedication and I have to believe those things will be rewarded on the field.

Only with a Heisman and/or a championship will it stand the test of time outside BR and CFB enthusiasts.

quote:Yeah I doubt he wins the heisman or anything but its by no means a stretch to say he leads this team to a national title this year.

That would certainly be something special, no more for anyone than for Lee himself.

Intestinal Fortitude maybe. Comeback story? Meh I dunno.

If he can not throw off his back foot while taking a hit we'll be fantastic.

hopefully after the Oregon game haha. But really, its always nice to see a player comeback against the odds, and Lee's been through a lot. But as an Oregon fan, I definitely hope it starts AFTER week 1.

They had similar stories about Matt Flynn in 2007, talking about waiting his turn. Applies to Lee as well.

Most college athletes would have bailed after getting tossed behind Jordan Jefferson...especially after being tossed under the bus as a Frosh. I have nothing but respect for his ability to persevere. I hope he has the season of a lifetime. He's got the stable of running backs necessary to offer some wonderful passing opportunities, so here's to Lee! Get it done, young man! You'll have an army cheering behind you... (so long as you're winning...)

We'll all hope for the best and cheer for JL to be the ultimate "comeback kid" of LSU football.

I for one have always been behind the guy.I thought he got crapped on by a lot of fans after the performance he had his freshmen year.
I think the same people who crapped on him will be singing his praises.GEAUX LEE!

He said he didn't come to LSU to leave and he didn't. So now he gets a second chance. I think he will be great this year.

Lets NOT forget that we avg. over 31 PPG in 2008. The D was the problem. NOT LEE!!!!!!

I think it depends on how well he does.
