So help me out here. Just what was it that JJ had that Lee doesn't?

Run vs pass

Though that's what we have fricking runningbacks for.

The ability to run the ball. When all the receivers are covered, JJ had the ability to break a long one. With all the receivers covered, Lee will still try to get the ball to them.

LSU ran an ugly short side option with JJ, but also ran a little read option and he had some pretty good success at it..

JJ's strength was rolling out and throwing on the run or using his legs.. but his short accuracy was atrocious IMO.

I like to see Lee get the ball to his playmakers.

Now, something Lee has that JJ doesn't is the ability to use the whole field to check off on receivers and a much faster release.

And he said in an interview the other day that he knows the system like "the back of his hand".

Jefferson's rushing yards was the difference between LSU being a mediocre rushing team and a 28th ranked rushing team.

When Jefferson played, LBs had to keep an eye on Jefferson. That's particularly helpful in short yardage situations. Jefferson was ranked as the #2 QB in redzone efficiency in 2009. Jefferson's presence helped our rushing game even when Jefferson wasn't carrying the ball.

JJ now has a felony arrest, Lee does not!

How are your Ducks doing? Any with felony arrests?

JJ would throw the short out into the bleachers...

JL will throw it to the other team...

Lee throws a real pretty ball. I just wish he didn't throw off his back foot and into double coverage. If he keeps from doing this against Oregon, we'll be fine.

When Jefferson is in the game, I am usually disappointed.

When Lee is in the game, I am usually scared to death.
