Mett is ready. Needs playing time, and will improve each week.

All Mett has to do is keep his composure and get the ball into our playmakers hands. I have full confidence that he can do that, especially by later in the season after practice reps with the ones and some potential mop up duty experience. If he were out there from day 1 I would be scared as hell.

One thing for sure,Mett will get more snaps this year.Which should have him better prepared for next season.

Yep...He came one pass away from the National Championship in JC, and did the best of the 3 in the spring game....Yeah, yeah, he has never taken a FBS level snap, but the same could have been said for the QB of the 2010 BCS NC team and current projected starter in the NFL (Can Newton) at this point last year.

The dude may be our best QB, but the job is Lee's to win and secure first as the Sr with experience.

Yeah I'm just wondering if he can be thrown in to the pressure cooker that is Tiger Football.

No way Mett is ready to play at this level against Oregon or SEC teams. Hopefully he's a fast learner.

Some players need a lot of time, like Jefferson and Lee, and some don't like Flynn and Mett.....

And who is behind Mett? Does Randall (Sp?) start taking snaps at 3rd string?

Everything is relative.

He is probably ready enough to execute the offense with a fighting chance of making a big play or two as the game progresses.

He is probably not ready enough to play the game mistake free or execute the offense at a level where he is making the correct decision the large majority of the time.

At this point it is what it is. If Lee goes down Mett will go in for some on the job training

I agree with you. I think we are both saying that right now he is not ready. No way you can expect the guy to learn the system and execute at this level this fast. Hopefully he'll get some PT against NW and get meaningful PT down the road.

no... in Miles' opinion, which means little here. you don't have to learn to read the tea leaves with Miles. He put a ton on J.L. b/f he thought J.J. could do it. Then he stuck it out with J.J., learning the "R.P." lesson and rightly giving J.L. time. Now, he's down to the third lesson. Hard to do 3 at one time, and this was going to be our time. He's faced a daunting QB challenge as a coach from day one... and it just keeps on going.
