What does it matter? Pubulic perception? What is wrong with waiting until JJ is actually charged?

So you think a HC should suspend his players BEFORE any accusations are made?

There is now way he didnt know this was coming, if he didnt, he should have made a deal with the DA or POPO at least to give him a chance to announce they were suspended before the warrants were made public.
This made him look very weak as a leader IMO

Agree......

Allegations have been made for a while now dont ya think! I'd say it was obvious what was coming, why let it get to this point before making a stand as a coach? I said suspend him before WARRANTS WERE ISSUED!

You don't know what the players told him, either. "Coach, it wasn't me?" etc. Look, I'm OK with the handling, too many people said JJ did nothing. Miles has supported them, and let it play out, like he should have IMO.

Starting this thread is worthy of an admin PM that says "take a break from posting".

Miles handled this correctly. Also, think about the report from the Shady's manager last night. There are so many unknowns.

Glad you don't make the decisions then. You would be the worst leader ever.

Disagree completely. If I'm a parent of a kid thinking about going to LSU, I see this as Les sticking with his boys over political expedience.

This was handled correctly.

He knew they broke curfew and were in a bar fight in which they caused some fairly serious injuries. He might have had good reason for not suspending them, but it's not like he didn't have grounds to suspend them if he chose to.
I'm surprised he didn't do anything before this given the serious nature of the accusations and the likelihood they would be charged.

suspending them and letting Lee and the team get on with prepping for a game next weekend would have been horrible leadership! Much better leadership would be to let this fester out of control, and practice a guy that is in jail as if he would be starting! I like Les, but this was very weak!

Les: Jordan did you and Josh do this, now if you tell the truth and did do this we will go to the po po and you can turn yourselves in.
Jordan/Josh: No sir we didn't do this hell Jordan wasn't even there coach. He was going thru his shoe collection to see which ones he would wear tomorrow.

Agreed 100%. He should have been out in front on something like this.

So the OP wanted Les to suspend the players, with the possiblitity of his starting quarterback may still not go to jail?

Or, more likely, I guess the OP wanted the heads up from the police chief that it was going to go down anyway, so go ahead and make the announcement firt.

We know Les is very loyal. JJ sucked badly the first half of last year and even though JL bailed him out, he still stood by his starting QB. Now if JL sucks, Les looks less bad because it would not have been his decision to suspend the starter, until he was charged first.
