He's a RB, at least on their depth chart.

The matchup to watch all game will be LSU's defensive tackles vs. Oregon's center and guards. Ducks will have a new starting center, we still don't know who, open competition between 3 guys.

The teams that have shutdown Oregon have done so by getting DT penetration into the mesh point on the IZR/OZR, that messes up the whole timing of the offense. If Oregon can get the ball out on the exterior before up the middle pocket penetration occurs, then watch out. That center vs. DT matchup will be where the game is won or lost.

I disagree to an extent. I'm more worried about Oregon's interior running. You will not live on the edges, I promise.

Lil ball of fire versus the black mamba. It does not get any better than that.

I think Grassu was announced as the starter today.

My 2 cents - Our ability (or inability) to contain your running game will determine the winner. Best case for UO is getting an early lead and forcing LSU to the air.

On our side of the ball, your D-line is better than our O-line. For us to have success, we'll need some creative play calling. I imagine we'll got to the triple option frequently, with LMJ running between the tackles, and Huff (if healthy) or possible DAT/Barner taking the pitch outside.

Thats how I would attack LSU, until I knew what the interior D was like. Too much speed on the edge IMO. You can make plays there, but I doubt there'd be much, unless your WR's block, out of their mind.

A huge point that I don't hear much talking about. We graduated out best WR (maehl) and our best blocking WR (DJ Davis). At WR, we have a solid senior, and then a bunch of freshman. The incoming class is talented as hell, but I doubt they will block much, which was a huge key to our running success the last couple years. Definitely one of my bigger concerns.

Key matchup:

Mike the Tiger vs The Duck

Would love to see Mike pile drive the shite out of Donald Duck's fat cousin.

The key match up will be freak and brockers vs. Clanton, Grasu and York. Lucky for us Clanton and Grasu, the newcomers, are extremely strong and athletic. This match up may not be the advantage that LSU is hoping for. Of course, the oline needs more cohesion than the dline, which is my concern.
