Hearing from a member of Texas Aggie hall of fame committee that the aggies will be announcing Sat they are going to SEC. Take it for what it's worth.

That'd be nice. My face has turned blue so many times from holding my breath I've decided to hibernate instead of hope. haha

I believe it, when there is an official press conference.

Did Luicci (sp?) give a date/time?

I just read on Texags that he gave some info this morning, is that true...and if so, what did he say?

Didn't they already announce their intention? I think we're waiting on the SEC, not A&M...

good ole Chip Brown said this morning he heard rumblings (yes, I know, we've been hearing "rumblings" for over a week now) that A&M was going to announce they were officially pursuing membership into the SEC. No more than that - not that they were actually "joining" the conference just yet.

It would be funny if they left the Big 12 but were blocked by a coalition of SEC presidents who don't want change.

It would be sad, but also kinda funny.

like whats-her-name from Forbes magazine said the other day. It's virtually impossible to think that A&M would go this far if they didnt already have the unofficial OK from the SEC.

It sounded like the biggest hangup was a potential backlash from FOX Sports in terms of a lawsuit. Legally, they (the SEC) want to be overtly sure that everything is on the level before they proceed

Yeah there's a Big12 presidents meeting Saturday. I think if we announce anything we'll do what Nebraska did and state that if we get an offer from SEC, we'll accept.

If that did happen I'm sure the pac would love us, big10 might be interested. But that being said, our administration would be literally retarded if there was any lack of certainty from the SEC.

This is ridiculous. I'm saying 100% that they won't announce on Saturday. How many reports have we seen that the Aggies are gonna make it official on this day or that day. Saturday will come and go with nothing new

Our rivals sight and scout site have said that. Besides that it's been random Aggies saying this and that, and then other dumbasses running with it.
But yeah until we announce anything people need to stop getting carried away with themselves.

I'm taking a wait and see approach. So called predicted dates have come and gone before and all we have is an emotional roller coaster ride. There are different details that NU and CU didn't have to deal with, so I understand the methodical approach by the administration. But having some clarity before the season begins would be nice...

What is the alternative to a "wait and see" approach? Taking matters into your own hands?

From one of the guys that kept proclaiming Wednesday

quote:

HopWebsider David Sandhop @ @okghalayini I made no guarantees. I relayed what donors were told. Plans changed by 2-3 days. I've been on this story for 15 months.

This is also what Liucci is saying now.

who am i kidding, i want to know as much as anyone else. but the point was to try to be reasonable and not to be too emotionally tied to a specific date/ time
