You didn't watch the game yet you can somehow opine that Barca has "once again proven to be the superior side"? Outstanding analysis there, Sherlock.

Know what I did today, brah?
Let me guess, because I was not in the thread "in-game" that would mean that I wouldn't have had access to the game in any way, shape, or form?

And even if you did watch it

You're waffling on your claim.

you're clearly watching through rose-colored glasses

Yes, I do. Everyone who is a fan does to some degree.

Sunday was dominated by Real despite the final score

The final score is what matters when all is said and done.

Barcelona bloggers and beat writers admitted such.

Cecil doesn't care. A team plays poorly for a half, and doesn't lose, what does that say about the other side?

quote:

Look at the stats if you don't believe me.

I've seen them, and it's history to me. But let me ask, who possessed the ball more? Who committed more fouls? Who was offsides more? Who took more corners? If anything, the stats would point to an inefficient RM side. The ability to take advantage of your opponents times of weakness is a poor reflection of your teams character.

Sorry, brah, you're ignoring the fact that your team is second. Don't worry though, they may have a better squad next year.

Like I said, there are a few that I respect, but I don't like their team. You may not like my team either, but that's the beauty of any sport.

You said you were in a wreck. I inferred that you didn't have access to the game because of that - no waffling at all (in fact, it was a reasonable assumption to make based on what you said).

Who cares who posessed the ball more? Germany had ridiculously small time of possession against Argentina and England in the World Cup last year and destroyed both of them - that's just how Barca plays. Also, LOL at your "offsides" and "corners" comment. I was talking about shots and shots on goal.

As for them playing poorly for a half and not losing, I'd say it says they were lucky. I've seen plenty of teams get completely dominated in a game and still end up winning (think Spain vs Switzerland last summer). Sometimes the breaks just go your way, and that seems to have happened a lot lately with Barca. That doesn't take anything away from what's been accomplished, but it doesn't go unnoticed either.
