Thanks Cornhat.

I would have thought that the Aggies would have had a better record than that.

Well lookie there...undefeated against Ole Piss.

You think there will ever come a day when Ole Piss drops out of the SEC and moves to CUSA so they can build some bragging rights.

Texas A&M has had some very good teams in the past. Overall, they were consistently above average (within the SWC) back then.

Seems like A&M improved a whole lot during the mid-70's, then again during the mid-80's. About that time, they started really "bringing the wood".

They had their moments.

Yeah our 17 SWC championships were pretty boss. Arkansas had 13.

College football has changed a lot over the past few years and A&M's record may or may not be an accurate indicator of their future performance, if they do join the SEC.

I think their recruiting within Texas will improve, especially against other Texas schools ...and we all know how recruiting has changed over the past 25 years. When Arkansas made the transition, initially, our recruiting in Texas took a huge hit. It took us a while to get back on our feet in that regard. Remember, Texas A&M has a really rich recruiting base. I can see many reasons why they would want to play in the SEC.

You do realize that Arkansas left the SWC before it folded right? You had what, 2 or 3 of those championships after we left. Not such a big gap after all like the one in the head to head record.

Eh, I'll buy it.

And Arky fans should want this just as much as LSU fans should. Want to be relevant in Texas again? Bring in a Texas team. Our dallas game could be a huge deciding factor w/ recruits. Arky could do great things with Dallas, just as LSU could with Houston.

I don't know any Arkansas fans that don't want A&M in the SEC.

As an LSU fan I would welcome the Aggies to the SEC. I do think there needs to be a package deal, i.e., need a 14th team.

If the UF, USCe, UGA block holds firm (which I'm ok with), then who else would be available? OU? UNC? ???

We're probably not as concerned about that nowadays Cassius.

True. But mostly, it will help A&M, and I'm not against that.

All I know is we are 0-6 vs SEC lately and Texas is 0-5 vs Big XII lately.

A&M has got to get our shite together, though. Southwest Classic, anyone?
