I agree that alot of this stuff was taken way too far...
But I went to games with alot of really good people who don't drink or cuss, but would join in these cheers...it was just fun. Then everything got way out of hand with all the F Bombs and such.
My stance is that it's a football game...not church...so go ahead and cuss, don't go crazy with it, and don't be dropping F bombs around kids.
Alot of it was harmless because we were just in the company of other students.

Here comes all the old timers that can't move on claiming it was better when they were in college because they "did it right."
