Guy left Florida because he got passed over for OC job...He got passed over for it here...and now he's been passed over again here.

Looking at your history, you're the most succinct poster I know

Just trying to work within everyone's attention span. It just seems odd to me that you would leave one school and a coach that you've been with for years because he decided to look somewhere else for an OC, only to join one of that school's biggest rivals to become WR coach for an extended stay.

I tend to agree with you...Miles must not be thoroughly pleased with him in some manner.
Altough, this is a code red, rush situation so I am sure Miles just was forced to go with the one man who had OC experience of any kind.

Not why he left Florida.

What did you hear was his reason?

I don't think Miles is going to let someone who has never called plays before start his OC career at LSU. Especially after the Mallory/Peveto experiment shat the bed

If he does like last year, hopefully.
Call me crazy but I'd like to have a black WR coach who can relate more in recruiting. They have a lot of elite recruiters at WR coach across the country that are good coaches. LSU can do better than Gonzo. I think he is overrated personally and our WRs last year seemed to lack basics. DJ was bad but is it possible his shite coaching carried over to last year? I doubt it. Our WRs actually took a step back in areas like blocking. How does that happen? All our WRs have been good blocks since Saban era but all of a sudden they just sucked last year. Even Randle, a bigger WR, was inconsistent last year. I seen RS and TT getting crushed on several blocks last year too.
Route-running was pretty shitty last yea overall. Especially from TT. Oh yea, inconsistent hands from ALL WRs too. Overrated recruiter to go with all that. I'm glad he isn't coaching our offense.

I'm sure there was always the plan to groom him to be an OC, but I can bet right now that Miles' philosophy and Billy G's philosophy do not mix. And that's probably the underlying reason why he hasn't even been in the conversation the last 2 times.

Possible, although unlikely.

The rumor was the hammer was about to fall down on him over there, so he made a lateral move to LSU.

According to most rantards, he was only brought in to convert Russell Shepard to Percy Harvin. Since he hasn't done that, there's no use for him.
